Max Spider X is referencing the Ogre-Slaying Knife. One of the Green Items from Tombs that wasn't max, but yet went for an obsurd amount because of the cult-history attached to it.

I can't say I've seen any "Ogre" creature types in the game yet, but I have also gotten a shield with added armor against Ogre's. As two people really aren't a good basis for a statistic, I can't say if its dropping commonly or if we both happened to be lucky to get it.

Though, I'm assuming that if it isn't dropping commonly it would start out with the incredibly high prices as the Ogre-Slaying Knife did as people rush to get the "Ogre Set" to statisfy a cult obsession from another medium.

Can't say that I've seen any Ogres myself...plenty of Afflicted, Am Fah, Jades, and Yeti's though, oh yea, Wardens too.

But..I've got gold Emblazoned Defender thats Armor 16 with Req 13 Strength(yea, ouch

), but its got Armor+10 vs Ogres. Only Ogre item I've gotten, and havent seen or heard about too many, so seems to be a rare add-on for weapons/shields in my opinion.

a while ago i got a staff of ogre slaying also. Not sure if they plan on puting in ogre later or something as of now there arent any ogres that i noe of.

ogre stuff is just like getting something with dmg or armor against dragons or fire.. and im pretty sure anet put yetis in the ogre family
